The Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke is a 300-bed not-for-profit residential facility located on Cherry Street in Holyoke.  The dedicated staff at the Home stands ready to provide long-term nursing care, rehabilitation, and outpatient services to Veterans from Massachusetts; those brave men and women who have helped to make our nation secure and have advanced the cause of freedom throughout the world.

The Friends of the Soldiers’ Home Inc., is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in support of the Soldiers’ Home to manage private funds on behalf of the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke. By making a tax deductible donation, you are joining thousands of individuals who, each day, are committed to helping the Veterans who reside at the Home.

Your gift, regardless of its size, will go a long way toward enriching the lives of these men and women and the programs and services offered by the Soldiers’ Home. Throughout the year, the Friends are able to purchase equipment and support recreational activities and community events that are above and beyond the budget provided by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Contributions to the Friends of the Soldiers’ Home Inc., allow the Home to offer a wide variety of recreational activities that meet the physical, social and emotional needs of the Veterans.

These activities include group outings in the community, entertainment activities for Veterans, and many other social functions, including celebrations for all holidays. Veterans and community organizations are an integral part of the Department of Recreation at the Home. Through funds supported by the Friends of the Soldiers’ Home, the Home is able to actively sponsor events that add to the activities sponsored by local community groups    and individual organizations.
